Bharat Forge bags long-term aircraft components deal from Embraer

Bharat Forge Ltd. (BFL) has entered into a long-term contract with Brazilian aerospace major Embraer for the manufacturing and supply of critical landing gear forgings, marking a significant milestone for the Indian company’s aerospace business.
With this agreement, Bharat Forge becomes the first supplier from India to enter Embraer’s global aerospace supply chain for forged components. The Pune-based company said the contract covers the supply of high-integrity forged components for landing gear systems across Embraer’s commercial and defence aircraft programmes.
The company stated that the engagement strengthens Bharat Forge’s position within the global aerospace supply chain and reinforces its role as a trusted supplier for complex, safety-critical components.
According to the company, the long-term partnership reflects a shared focus on quality, reliability and long-term collaboration, while also highlighting Bharat Forge’s capabilities in delivering forged products that meet stringent global certification standards.
Commenting on the development, Amit B. Kalyani, Vice Chairman and Joint Managing Director of Bharat Forge, said the agreement is a proud milestone for the company’s aerospace business and demonstrates the manufacturing and engineering capabilities built by Bharat Forge over the years.
He added that the contract is expected to help scale the company’s critical structural component business while complementing the existing scale in aero engine components.
The company also noted that the agreement aligns with Embraer’s broader efforts to strengthen the aerospace ecosystem in India and deepen engagement with domestic industry participants and government stakeholders.
Bharat Forge is a global engineering and manufacturing company with operations spanning automotive, aerospace, defence, railways, oil and gas, construction, mining and marine sectors. The company has been expanding its aerospace and defence footprint as part of its diversification strategy beyond traditional automotive forgings.
