RailTel Corporation of India Ltd has received a Letter of Intent (LoI) from Newspace India Limited (NSIL) for the supply, installation, commissioning, operation and maintenance of upgraded IT infrastructure, adding another government-backed project to its order pipeline.

According to the company’s exchange filing dated May 23, the estimated value of the order is around ₹31.24 crore, excluding taxes. The contract is domestic in nature and is scheduled to be executed by January 31, 2027.

The scope of the project includes supply, deployment, commissioning and long-term maintenance of upgraded IT infrastructure for NSIL, the commercial arm of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO). The order reflects continued public sector spending on digital and mission-critical infrastructure projects.

RailTel said the order was received on May 22, 2026 at 6:32 PM. The company clarified that the contract does not involve related party transactions and that neither promoters nor promoter group entities have any interest in the awarding body.

The latest win comes as RailTel continues to strengthen its presence in telecom infrastructure, data centre services, cybersecurity, cloud solutions and government digital connectivity projects. The PSU has been actively expanding its order book through railway modernisation initiatives and enterprise IT contracts from central and state government institutions.

RailTel, a Mini Ratna PSU under the Ministry of Railways, operates one of India’s largest neutral telecom infrastructure networks with extensive fibre connectivity across the country.
