SPML Infra bags ₹165.4 crore contract for 400 kV grid sub-station in Rajasthan

SPML Infra Ltd on Friday announced that it has secured a ₹165.41 crore contract from Rajasthan Rajya Vidyut Prasaran Nigam Limited (RRVPNL) for the construction of a 400 kV grid sub-station and transmission infrastructure project in Kota, Rajasthan.
According to the company, the project will be executed at Dahra in Kota over a period of 18 months and will involve supply, erection, testing and commissioning of key transmission infrastructure.
The scope of work includes development of a 400 kV grid sub-station with one 500 MVA autotransformer bay, 420 kV 125 MVAR bus-type shunt reactor bay, two 400 kV feeder bays and three 400 kV tie bays, along with associated civil works, automation and communication systems.
SPML Infra said the project strengthens its growing presence in the high-capacity power substation and transmission segment amid rising investments in India’s energy transition and renewable power evacuation infrastructure.
Commenting on the development, Managing Director Abhinandan Sethi said Rajasthan is rapidly reshaping India’s energy landscape and the company remains focused on building stronger and smarter power infrastructure across the country.
The company added that the order complements its existing businesses in water infrastructure, power systems and energy storage solutions, while reinforcing its focus on government-funded infrastructure projects.
SPML Infra has executed more than 700 infrastructure projects across sectors including water management, wastewater treatment, power transmission and smart city solutions.
