Texmaco Rail & Engineering Ltd on Monday announced that it has received a major international order worth USD 43,05,72,749, equivalent to nearly ₹4,045 crore, for rolling stock freight wagons, locomotives, components and long-term maintenance work.
The company said the Letter of Award has been issued by Tsiko Africa Logistics (Pty) Ltd along with Barberry Holdings (Pty) Ltd. The project is international in nature and is scheduled to be executed during 2027-2028, according to the exchange filing.
Texmaco Rail stated that the contract includes supply of freight rolling stock, locomotives, railway components and associated long-term maintenance services. The company also clarified that the transaction does not involve any related party arrangement and that promoters or group companies do not have any interest in the awarding entities.
The latest international win marks one of the largest contracts secured by the company in recent years and further strengthens its overseas rail infrastructure presence.
The order comes amid a strong flow of contract wins for Texmaco Rail across domestic and international markets. Earlier this month, the company secured a ₹130.22 crore order from Kochi Metro Rail Ltd for ballastless track work in the Phase 2 corridor.
The company also recently won a ₹57.15 crore order from Vedanta Aluminium for supply and commissioning of BTAP railway rakes and BVCM units.
In April, Texmaco Rail received a ₹27.18 crore wagon supply order from UltraTech Cement, while Southern Railway awarded contracts related to electrification and signalling infrastructure projects.
Texmaco Rail has additionally been expanding its strategic partnerships. Earlier this year, the company entered into a joint venture agreement with Rail Vikas Nigam Ltd (RVNL) to jointly pursue freight, locomotive, metro and rail infrastructure projects in India and overseas markets including Africa and West Asia.
Part of the Adventz Group, Texmaco Rail & Engineering is one of India’s leading rail engineering and infrastructure companies engaged in manufacturing wagons, coaches, hydro-mechanical equipment, steel castings and railway EPC solutions. The company has a significant presence in freight wagon manufacturing and rail infrastructure development.
The latest Africa order is expected to strengthen Texmaco Rail’s order book visibility and enhance its international execution pipeline over the next few years.
