Akums Drugs Q4 Results: Net profit falls 45% YoY

Akums Drugs and Pharmaceuticals Limited reported a mixed set of consolidated results for the quarter ended March 31, 2026, with net profit declining sharply on a year-on-year basis despite improvement in operating performance.

The company posted revenue from operations of ₹1,157.87 crore in Q4 FY26, compared to ₹1,055.55 crore in the corresponding quarter last year, reflecting a growth of 9.7% YoY.

Net profit for the quarter stood at ₹81.34 crore, down 45.5% from ₹149.61 crore reported in Q4 FY25.

Using the company’s reported financials and the standard calculation methodology, EBITDA for Q4 FY26 came in at ₹151.72 crore, compared to ₹93.91 crore in the year-ago quarter, registering a growth of 61.6% YoY. EBITDA margin stood at 13.10% versus 8.90% in Q4 FY25.

Akums Drugs reported profit before tax of ₹123.01 crore for Q4 FY26, compared to ₹66.92 crore in the corresponding quarter last year. The company also recorded a deferred tax credit of ₹94.88 crore in Q4 FY25, which had supported profitability in the year-ago period.

Total income during the quarter rose to ₹1,193.17 crore from ₹1,073.09 crore in the corresponding quarter last year. Total expenses stood at ₹1,070.16 crore against ₹1,006.17 crore a year ago.

Employee benefits expense during the quarter came in at ₹199.03 crore, while finance costs stood at ₹23.89 crore. Depreciation and amortisation expenses were reported at ₹40.12 crore.

Profit before exceptional items and tax stood at ₹123.01 crore in Q4 FY26 compared to ₹66.92 crore in Q4 FY25. Profit before tax came in at ₹121.22 crore against ₹75.14 crore reported in the corresponding period last year.

Total comprehensive income for the quarter stood at ₹84.13 crore, compared to ₹148.59 crore reported in Q4 FY25.

Earnings per share (EPS) for the quarter stood at ₹5.53, compared to ₹9.64 in the year-ago period.
