HAL Q4 profit rises 5.5% YoY to ₹4,196 crore; EBITDA beats estimates

Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) reported a steady rise in consolidated profit for the quarter ended March 31, 2026, while EBITDA performance came in ahead of Street estimates.
After converting the reported figures from ₹ lakh to ₹ crore, HAL posted revenue from operations of ₹13,942.40 crore in Q4 FY26, compared to ₹13,699.85 crore in the corresponding quarter last year, registering a growth of 1.8% YoY.
Net profit for the quarter stood at ₹4,196.04 crore, up 5.5% from ₹3,976.63 crore reported in Q4 FY25.
Using the company’s reported financials and the standard calculation methodology, EBITDA for Q4 FY26 came in at ₹5,058.57 crore, compared to ₹5,294.90 crore in the year-ago quarter, marking a decline of 4.5% YoY. EBITDA margin stood at 36.28% versus 38.65% in Q4 FY25.
The company’s EBITDA performance, however, exceeded analyst estimates. Street estimates had pegged EBITDA at around ₹4,586 crore with margin expectations of 34.8%.
Total income during the quarter rose to ₹15,092.97 crore from ₹14,351.38 crore reported a year ago. Total expenses stood at ₹9,522.36 crore against ₹9,149.88 crore in the corresponding period last year.
Employee benefit expenses during the quarter came in at ₹1,724.54 crore, while depreciation and amortisation expenses stood at ₹634.38 crore. Other expenses were reported at ₹622.16 crore.
Profit before tax increased to ₹5,583.83 crore in Q4 FY26 from ₹5,218.66 crore in Q4 FY25. Total tax expense for the quarter stood at ₹1,387.79 crore.
Total comprehensive income for the quarter came in at ₹4,372.23 crore, compared to ₹3,988.57 crore reported in the corresponding quarter last year.
Earnings per share (EPS) for the quarter stood at ₹62.74, compared to ₹59.46 in Q4 FY25.
The company announced its audited consolidated financial results for the quarter and year ended March 31, 2026.
