Welspun Corp Q4 profit declines 47%; EBITDA rises 9% on stronger operations

Welspun Corp Ltd reported a mixed performance for the quarter ended March 31, 2026, with revenue and operational profitability improving year-on-year, while net profit declined sharply due to a higher base in the corresponding period.
The company posted revenue from operations of ₹4,312.56 crore in Q4 FY26, compared with ₹3,924.97 crore reported in the year-ago period, registering a growth of 9.9% year-on-year.
Net profit for the quarter stood at ₹371.46 crore, lower than ₹699.19 crore reported in Q4 FY25, reflecting a decline of 46.9% YoY.
Operationally, EBITDA came in at ₹503.8 crore during the March quarter compared with ₹460.2 crore reported in the corresponding quarter last year, registering a growth of 9.5% year-on-year.
EBITDA margin remained stable at 11.7% in Q4 FY26, broadly unchanged from the year-ago quarter.
Profit before tax stood at ₹504.01 crore during the quarter against ₹855.23 crore reported in Q4 FY25.
Among key expense heads, cost of materials consumed stood at ₹2,525.07 crore, while employee benefit expenses came in at ₹322.83 crore.
Other expenses during the quarter were reported at ₹808.44 crore. Finance costs declined sharply to ₹48.95 crore from ₹87.54 crore reported in the year-ago period.
Depreciation and amortisation expenses for the quarter stood at ₹93.03 crore.
Total comprehensive income for the quarter came in at ₹540.41 crore compared with ₹693.90 crore reported in Q4 FY25.
Earnings per share (EPS) for the quarter stood at ₹14.04 against ₹26.63 reported in the corresponding quarter last year.
