DAM Capital Advisors shares surged over 10% in Friday’s trade ahead of the company’s Q4FY26 earnings announcement later in the day.
The stock jumped as much as 12.9% intraday to ₹174.49 on the NSE before trimming some gains. At around 11:10 AM, the stock was trading higher by 7.38% at ₹166. The sharp move was accompanied by strong trading volumes, with more than 72 lakh shares changing hands on the exchange.
The company’s board is scheduled to meet today to consider and approve audited standalone and consolidated financial results for the quarter and year ended March 31, 2026. The board will also consider recommendation of a final dividend and amendments to the DAM Capital Employee Stock Option Scheme 2024.
Investor sentiment around the stock also remained positive amid expectations of improved capital market activity and stronger investment banking execution.
In the previous quarter, DAM Capital had reported weaker Q3FY26 earnings amid a slowdown in fundraising activity. Consolidated net profit declined 61% year-on-year to around ₹20 crore, while total income fell nearly 33% YoY to ₹69.9 crore. Management had attributed the softer performance to volatile market conditions and weakness in the small and midcap fundraising environment.
Despite the temporary slowdown, the company had highlighted continued execution across IPOs, QIPs, rights issues and advisory mandates, with cumulative ECM execution reaching 96 transactions since November 2019.
DAM Capital was listed in December 2024 and operates as a full-service investment bank with businesses spanning equity capital markets, institutional equities, M&A advisory and structured finance.
