Shares of Nazara Technologies surged nearly 10% during Friday’s session after reports suggested that Zerodha co-founder Nikhil Kamath and Axana Estates were likely buyers in the large block deals executed in the company earlier in the day.
According to sources cited by CNBC-TV18, existing shareholder Axana Estates and Nikhil Kamath were likely the buyers in the block transactions, while Nazara Technologies founder Nitish Mittersain was likely the seller.
The stock climbed over 9% to around Rs 290 during intraday trade after the development triggered strong investor interest. The rally came after nearly 4.9% equity changed hands through block deals.
Earlier in the session, block deals involving more than 1.82 crore shares were executed at a price of Rs 266 per share. One transaction involved 1,47,76,161 shares worth approximately Rs 393.05 crore, while another deal involving 35,02,601 shares was valued at around Rs 93.05 crore.
The sharp rally indicates that the market has interpreted the reported entry of Nikhil Kamath positively, especially given his growing visibility in India’s startup, gaming and digital investment ecosystem.
The buying interest also comes shortly after Nazara Technologies reported its Q4 FY26 results. The company posted a sharp rise in quarterly profitability despite a decline in revenue. Consolidated net profit nearly tripled to Rs 46.96 crore in Q4 FY26 from Rs 15.86 crore a year earlier, while revenue from operations declined 23.53% YoY to Rs 397.78 crore.
Nazara also highlighted strong performance from subsidiaries including Sportskeeda and NODWIN Gaming, with the latter reporting 25% organic revenue growth during FY26.
