Five stocks — Housing and Urban Development Corporation (HUDCO), Gujarat State Petronet (GSPL), PN Gadgil Jewellers, Mold-Tek Technologies and IFB Agro Industries — have entered the bearish zone after falling below their respective 200-day moving averages (200-DMA), a key technical indicator tracked by traders and institutional investors.
A stock trading below its 200-DMA is generally considered a sign of weakening long-term momentum and deteriorating market sentiment.
Among the stocks, PN Gadgil Jewellers declined 10% to ₹573.9, slipping below its 200-DMA level of ₹605.35. The company operates in the organised jewellery retail segment and has expanded rapidly across western India, particularly in Maharashtra.
Mold-Tek Technologies dropped 9.36% to ₹126.79, significantly below its 200-day moving average of ₹152.21. The company provides engineering and technology solutions, including civil and mechanical design services for global infrastructure and energy projects.
GSPL fell 7.13% to ₹268.35 against its 200-DMA of ₹296.80. Gujarat State Petronet is one of India’s major gas transmission companies and operates an extensive natural gas pipeline network across Gujarat.
HUDCO slipped 6.87% to ₹208, marginally below its 200-day moving average of ₹211.10. The state-run company finances housing and urban infrastructure projects and has remained in focus amid strong infrastructure spending trends and PSU stock activity.
IFB Agro Industries declined 6.55% to ₹995.95, trading below its 200-DMA of ₹1,041.20. The company is involved in grain-based spirits, alcoholic beverages and agro-processing businesses.
Technical analysts often view sustained trading below the 200-day moving average as an indication of bearish sentiment, though some investors also track such levels for potential reversal opportunities if buying support emerges.
